The test press story
Last night we received the test press for Dance it, Dance all. One hell of a night!
8 pm - Received a call from our manager Udo saying the test presses are ready and we have to go pick them up.
9:00 - On our way to DJ Loco Fern's place, who brought the records home from work with him.
9:30 - We have the test presses in our hands!
9:33 - We're on our way to Simon's place to listen and make sure everything's ok.
9:45 - Arrived at Simon's, plugged in the turntable.... and f*cck! the head-shell is broken!
9:55 - Run like madmen to a convenience store that closes in 5 min to get some Krazy glue and fit it.
9:59 - We have glue!
10:05 - Try to repair the head-shell and it just doesn't work.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The guy at the vinyl factory needs our approval tonight if we are to have them ready for the launch party next Thursday.
10:10 - Call back Udo in panic. F*cck, we need to find a place to listen to the record asap!
10:15 - Udo calls back : " Ok guys! I just reached Alain Vinet and he's expecting you"
10:20 - On our way to listen to the test press at a Cirque Du Soleil friends place with a working turntable.
10:30 - Pit stop to grab a 6 pack of "refreshments' to re-hydrate - aka beer.
10:45 - Finally listening to the test press. First impression : Sounds awesome!
11:45 - Confirmed pressing to the vinyl factory. Approved ! :oD
