Forty-five days ago The Easton Ellises launched an internet fan funding campaign powered by PayPal to raise the funds necessary for the production of vinyl records to celebrate the release of their 10th single Dance it, Dance all. Press release #1
Fifteen days ago, they concluded the campaign with 105% of the funds necessary to press 300 vinyl records and jackets. Over thirty Dance it, Dance all remixes from artists coming from all over the world were submitted for inclusion on this record. Only 6 were selected. Press release #2
Three days ago, the Easton Ellises were officially selected for the exclusive launch of PayPal Here™ in Canada. On May 17th, PayPal Here will enable invitees to purchase vinyl records and merchandise directly form the band with their credit card or PayPal account. PayPal Here™ is a paradigm shift for DIY artists, and The Easton Ellises is the first band in Canada to benefit from this new mobile payments technology.
